Jessica Kardish has been a licensed California attorney since 2009. She received her Bachelor of Arts from the University of California, Santa Barbara and obtained her Juris Doctorate from the University of West Los Angeles School of Law.

Ms. Kardish came to Sacks and Zolonz with a legal background in family law, criminal law, personal injury, and contract law. Her experience with the law first began when she worked for a certified specialist in family law during law school. Thereafter, Ms. Kardish learned criminal law while working as a law clerk for the District Attorney's Office in Van Nuys and learned the civil system while working for a personal injury attorney firm. Through these diverse experiences, Ms. Kardish
developed expertise in executing legal documents, conducting legal research and discovery as well as making court appearances.

Ms. Kardish's experience in workers' compensation began when working for her family's business while attending law school. There, she gained significant knowledge and familiarity with workers' compensation issues from an employer's perspective. From her experience, Ms. Kardish acquired insight and an understanding of employer requirements and concerns when an employee has been injured and/or a claim has been filed.

Since joining Sacks and Zolonz, Ms. Kardish has appeared for Status Conferences, Mandatory Settlement Conferences, Lien Conferences, both medical and applicant depositions and has attended trials. Furthermore, she has drafted numerous trial briefs, points and authorities and settlement documents. Ms. Kardish also handles legal research and lien negotiation for the firm.
